SATA cables designed to fail?

After the fourth episode of a SATA HDD going offline, then coming back if I moved it to a new position in the chassis, I looked at the cable connectors. It seems like the spring clip pushes the connector's metal contacts away from the metal contacts on the drive's circuit board. Has anyone seen cables that are designed to press the contacts together?

Spring clips being the metal locking latches intended to hold the plug in place.

Something such as in the following example link?

Found other images showing similar spring clips.

I stopped using SATA cables with similar clips. Had the opposite problem as some became very difficult to disconnect when necessary.

Would not be surprised if the spring clip had the leverage to push the contacts apart.

Especially with cables becoming more and more a very low end commodity cheaply made with little or no QA and testing.

Can you just use regular SATA cables and...
