SATA cables.

Well, finally ordered all my stuff for my first build, but I forgot SATA cables 😀

Need help finding SATA cable for HDD- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262

I think i see the ones I need on new egg, but some pics look like connectors are different. I know it's a dumb question, but I just like to be sure. Thanks.

Newegg has 25 pages of cables. Pick ya color and a brand ya like and you will be fine. Look for UV reflective if that's ya thing.

Belkin is a nice middle of the road brand.

Just make sure they say 'Sata' on them and are long enough...

Main thing was SATA II or SATA 150... now I know though. Thanks guys.

There is virtually no difference between SATA spec'd cables except for the fastener. SATA2 (SATA 3.0) cables have metal clips but the cables are the same.

retail motherboards come with sata cables.

If a MB was part of your order then you don't need to worry since the SATA cables you'll need are included in the package. I've never actually seen a retail MB package not include any data cables; be they IDE from a few years ago to SATA cables today.
