I have an ABIT NF7-S and a Serillel device to enable connection of my
ATA100 drive to the SATA port. After enabling the SATA controller and
connecting the hardware, I get a boot failure as it cannot find the
SATA connected disk. Do I need to tell the BIOS to BOOT OTHER DEVICE
and do I need to enable both the SATA port and the Sil RAID PROM. In
other words, after connecting the Serillel hardware as defined, what
else do I need to do? TIA.

Hello,

I had the same problem: whatever I put in boot device in the bios I got
a boot failure, until I enabled the mirroring: then, my HD appeared in
the SATA list and by PC booted.
Don't forget you must have a boot partition on your HD: primary
partition, acitve and containing a MBR and an OS.
