Saving daylight

Everyone hates losing an hour every Spring for daylight savings time,
don't they? And gaining an hour in the Fall is wonderful? Well I have a
great idea that I'm sure will be a big hit. Instead of losing a full hour
all at once, why not take 2 minutes a day off for 30 days instead? No-one
would even notice the gradual change!

Even better, how about doing this every 30 days, then gaining an hour
back? Imagine, an extra hour 12 times a year!

I'm now requesting nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Hmm, a little complicated but it just might work.

Personally I have a theory that the ghosts of those who die between
springing forward and falling back haunt the extra hour of falling
back in order to regain the hour lost to them. I did'nt say it was a
good theory.

If and when I am in a position to do such a thing I will consider it.

Ah, now c'mon. I so anal about my watch that it takes me 2 weeks to
get it set back perfect the way I like after the time changes, and now
you want me to move it 2 minutes every day?

I didn't mine losing the hour. I just wasn't thrilled that I was an
hour late for a private student cause I didn't know the time changed.
:) She thought it was pretty funny though.

Actually I've been thinking of that - current technology permits
automatically adjusting watches/clocks, so that's really not a problem. If
people have to buy new clocks/watches to take advantage of the new system,
well then that's just a great excuse for an economic growth opportunity!

That's not really going to help the economic growth of my wallet.
