About damn time too, it got stale after err... The 0th one.

The biggest irony of those ads is that most people say the iPad will be most enjoyed by the older generation who don't quite "get" what a computer is, while PCs are often associated with the younger "gamer" audience. How many gamers are there on OSX?

Some of those ads were funny, mostly because they made fun on Windows, not the PC itself (since macs use the same hardware now, they can't really make fun of that). Those of us who suffered through WinME could appreciate the humor (most of their Windows jokes were that old). Didn't make me want to buy a mac, not even close, but some were still funny. I liked the movie-making one, where the Mac Movie was Giselle and the Windows movie was some dude in drag. Funny.

I'm with hellwig---it could be frustrating when they blatantly lied, but I thought the commercials were often quite amusing. Certainly better than those stupid Jerry Seinfeld/MS ads.

I love that Wii vs PS3 bit 😀. Anyway, I don't think Apple is really that interested in promoting it's Macs anymore. It's more interested in promoting shiny devices with high margins that aren't really that useful, well less useful than a Mac anyway  .

Fairwell useless Ads, Apple never gained any Market share from these commercials. Frankly the Marketing team should be completely fired and start fresh. They need to get their product being used in their commercials and they need to be possitive based and about Imac's Only and not the competition. These commercials did nothing for Apple.

[citation][nom]Abrahm[/nom]I can't believe that Apple was allowed to run such dishonest and misleading ads for so long, and that they are actually stopping them under their own will instead of being forced too. I've never seen commercials so filled with half truths and blatant lies before.[/citation]

I agree. I figured that the only reason Apple wasn't met with a cease and desist order or a court date, was that either Microsoft wasn't interested in pursuing it, or that vendors such as HP, Dell, Gateway (+others) were never actually mentioned in the ads (I think).

This site is so full of MS trolls (AMD too) it sickens me. The ads were good and made a point. Sorry if you MS fanboys don't like to hear the truth about the Swiss Cheese OS known as Windows. I have Windows for games and that's all it will ever be. Hopefully Open GL makes a comeback (Steam on OS X is a start) and I can dump the NSA/FED co-authored OS forever.
Linux is my preferred OS.

They never were about the hardware. It was always about OS X vs Windows.

I always thought it to be funny that Mac/PC commercials greatly imply that If you own a Mac, you own an up to date computer. (PC)'s are a thing of the past. PC stands for PERSONAL Computer. MAC doesn't make PERSONAL Computers? Wait? They do . . . So In logical text they are bashing their own computers? Bad marketing.

If they wanted to go the path of down grading the competition, why don't they just bash Dell or Toshiba?

The Mac / PC Ads were fun to watch... Some of your guys really need to lossen up sometime. Go watch some porn and get over yourself.

(I have no Mac computers, but two Win7 systems)

I will miss the ads.. but they've made about 50 or so... and while vista did blow, Win7 is actually harder to compete against.

Loved the PS3 and Wii ADD... but I'd have the PS3 chick start to try to make out with the wii-chick.

Again... fun is the point. That is what makes the new PS3 ads good.. they are fun. Like when that kid is going after the spokesman job... or how he is ignoring the hot-chick to play a game.

It's not fanboism. Windows is very secure in the hands of someone with common sense. And infinitely more productive. I love Linux. It's great, for what it does. But that doesn't include being a productive and useful daily desktop or laptop environment. And the apple ads made absolutely no points, aside from a glaring point to embarrass themselves in front of anyone who knew even just a little bit about the computers they use every day.

You on the other hand show the tale tell signs of tollfluenza. Swiss cheese OS? If I could roll my eyes any harder, I'd go blind.
