So i downloaded an installer via torrent and it cannot extract cause of CRC error.
Now it's most likely something went wrong in the downloading process but i'd like to be sure it wasn't because of bad sectors on my HDD.
My HDD is 2TB so if i had to scan it all for errors it would take some time.
Is there a way to scan just the part of the installer file for bad sectors ?

Freedom of speech is wonderful, in theory, and as a right while in public. Unfortunately, Tom's hardware is not "in public". It's a private, membership only service. As mentioned, those rights to freedom of speech went directly into the trash can the minute you agreed to the terms of service and forum guidelines. We're pretty lenient about enforcing a lot of things, but anything we feel is potentially harmful to our general member base is going to get instantly nixed. No exceptions. Running your system without any form of protection is one of those things.

Not only is it a bad idea, it's irresponsible because mostly people like you who ride bareback tend to pass their infections on to other people, and yes, the comparison is appropriate.

I don't really think it's appropriate as I've been infected several times riding bareback and i consider it far more dangerous but what do i know.

P.S.

Too bad you don't support freedom of speech.
Shame on you.

Freedom of speech wasn't intended to be a protection for those who would tell people it's ok to jump off cliffs or other such nonsense. Pretty sure, even in the US (Which is definitely NOT where all our members are located), if you start expressing your freedom of speech by telling other people it's ok to walk across the line of fire on a shooting range, you will instantly get arrested. Civil right or not.

This says a lot. I guess it's not surprising that you don't use protection on your computer either.

"Freedom of speech" is only that the Government cannot suppress you from speaking. It has nothing to do with a private forum such as this. This site has rules and regulations which you can either abide by, or post elsewhere. You agreed to this when you created an account here. One of the things we will prevent based on the rules here is the advice to do things like you are saying to do. Thankfully you haven't been sharing them in other people's threads.

Now this conversation has gone off track far enough and into GRAPES territory in multiple ways which is against our rules. If you want advice we are here to give it, if you want to fight everyone whom is trying to help you I'm happy to close this thread and end it. Your choice.
