Wiki Native resolution. Also check out 24 bit or 32 bit and or true color on wiki.

There you will find that pixel or size plays a direct effect on your viewing pleasure. For instance a 27" or 32" with 1080 will be pixelated whereas on a 24" or 22" monitor that 1080 will look fine.
Lg makes most panels for most of the top end monitors. Hitachi is the other one. IPS is the newest of the new. If playing video games you are going to want a low cmd rating of 5 or lower However if you were doing graphics your money is better spent via 1080x1200 on a 24" monitor with True color and def DVI connect, HDMI DOES NOT deliver 32 nor 24 bit color. However for Video games that true color won't make a big difference as the color in video games are "made-up" they are not true RGB 32 bit in the first place.
