Question Screen flickering on and off boot loop? Help!

When I get on my desktop after I log into my PC it keeps flickering every 7 seconds or so and I cant do anything. I've tried a system restore and I'm thinking going back to windows 7 any suggestions?

My specs as I know them are
A HP pavilion elite with gtx 750 nvidia and a i7 Intel core and max output power is 460w

So, did this just start happening? What is the specific model of your HP pavilion elite (eg 190t or similar). Can I assume the graphics card was an upgrade?. The first thing I would do is check your cables and make sure they are plugged in securely. If you have a replacement cable (always a good idea) switch it with the cable you are using. When is the last time you checked for updated graphics drivers? Check if your computer has on board graphics. If so remove your graphics card and use the on broad graphics and see if the problem persists. If not, remove and reinstall the graphics card making sure it is pushed in all the way into the slot.
