Question Screen flickering while browsing internet and gaming.

Hey guys so recently this just started happening where my screen when not in a game will flicker randomly pretty often. I have an MSI monitor thats 120hz native but ive been using it for 4-5 years now at a custom refresh rate of 144hz. Only recently have i had the problem so i uninstalled all Nvidia drivers and reinstalled the latest one and its still having the issue. My hdmi cord im pretty sure is rated for 144hz as well since its been completely fine for years now. I unplugged all peripherals and replugged them back in to no avail. I dont think its the latest driver cause i had the same issue on the old one too starting today, Not too sure what i could try at this point after doing a clean uninstall of drivers and reinstalls and plugging everything back in. Any ideas help thanks!

Specs: RTX 2070 SUPER EVGA BLACK EDITION
B550 mobo
Ryzen 3600 cpu
16GB trident z ram
MSI monitor 27' 120hz display
750 Gold psu EVGA

Did you use DDU to remove all of your GPU drivers? Reinstall said GPU drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

One other thing you could do is dial down the refresh rate and see if the issue persists. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

try it on a different system, might be a faulty monitor
replace the HDMI cable or use a different connector like DP
use a different port on the GPU
reseat the GPU

sorry for late reply i did use ddu but didnt try the admin install will try that, other than that i have no clue how to update my bios will look it up

Hi i will try this as well im not sure what HDMI cable to buy for 144hz monitor im using one i bought off amazon for like 9$. will look into the gpu port as well.

Random question, but is it all games or only one specific game? And if only one, which one?
