Hey guys,

I just built a new computer and randomly the screen (Plugged into DVI using a DVI to HDMI cord) will start going crazy when plugged into the motherboard.

Example:
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/3wkY27dMS88/maxresdefault.jpg

I have an R7 370 in there but i took it out due to the graphics card artifacting at random times too (I didnt use the DVI to HDMI cord on the graphics card). But it wasn't as bad as this. Do you think I have a bad MOBO??

Specs:

Intel i5-6400
8gb DDR4 RAM
AsRock H110M-DGS
1tb HDD
R7 370 (not in system right now)

I will but the screen still flips out when connected to the motherboards DVI. Its not linked to load but it does happen if i leave the computer to idle but can happen when i am using it. I have to hard reset the computer to stop it happening

If same thing happens to discrete and integrated GPU,
more likely it's HDMI/DVI cable or maybe monitor to blame.

If it's not faulty cable/monitor, then since you are using integrated GPU,
I'd recomend checking:
if CPU is seated properly, contacts are not dirty,
no pins are bent in CPU socket,
there is no overheating of CPU.

Just checked and the CPU does not over heat the screen glitching happens randomly. Also checked the pins and they were fine.
