Question Screen Resolution problem with new monitor connected to laptop ?

Hi all,
Just purchased a Odyssey Neo G8 but a, having some issues with my laptop connection with screen resolution. I have two laptops and have been testing.

When I dock my work laptop (Latitude 5420) my Odyssey gets 3840x2160 resolution and monitor 2 (Acer R271) gets 1920x1080

When I dock my personal laptop (XPS 7590) Odyssey gets 3840x2160 resolution and monitor 2 (Acer R271) gets 800x600

Dell dock is a WD19
* Odyssey NEO via 1.4 display port
* Acer connected via HDMI 1.2 (also tried 1.4) and also tried display into DVI (via adapter)

I don't understand how one laptop can work fine and another not. I have updated all the drivers and completed most things I can find on the internet.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I'd try and see if the XPS laptop is pending any BIOS updates, then see if reinstalling chipset drivers also helps.
