Whenever I try to play a particularly graphics intensive game I get screen tearing and either it'll say my graphics drivers have stopped working and have recovered or my computer will crash all together. I can play some 2d games like terraria alright but if I try to play anything with 3d graphics it never lasts long. I personally think it's my graphics card since its given me issues in the past, but I'm no expert on the matter and any insight would be appreciated.

My specs:

CPU: AMD FX 8350
Graphics Card: Sapphire 100352-3L Radeon HD 7950
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Ram: G.SKILL Ares Series 8gb
PSU: SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W

Artifacting, crashing and blue screens in that situation all point to the card being on it's way out, (how long have you had it for, have you ever overclocked it, how many hours a day is it in use) but potentially the problem could be the PSU, 550W can be fine from a good manufacturer but I've never heard of SeaSonic before (not saying it IS bad, just that you might want to check, especially if you end up upgrading the GPU, you don't want to fry a brand new card, it DOES happen, I've done it)
