Screen tearing solution for PC connected to TV LCD via HDMI in movies?

Hi guys,

I just bought a brand new gamers pc with a GTX970 strix and as for the tv connected to it via HDMI cable it is a LG SLIM LED 42SL9500. And while gaming no pb, but as soon as i want to watch a movie... i have some bad ass screen tearing...

I tried everything from taking down windows 7 aero background to making sure the graphics card is correctly set up for my screen ( 60hz refresment )... I really don't know what to do and it's been 2 month i tried... I even changed my tv screen with a newer one.

Help! can"t stand that screen tearing anymore!
thanks

this is simply those cmd prompts compiled as an exe with administrator priveleges.

all you need to do with this if youre prepared to disable uac is to drag into to your start menu & drop it in the startup folder.
Itll run on boot automatically & hopefully sort your problem.

to do this just download it ,hove over it ,press & hold left mouse button (keep this pressed down constantly)
drag over to windows start button bottom left corner
keep button pressed ,start menu will open
drag to all programs keeping button pressed
will open programs menu
drag to startup keeping button pressed
startup...
Ok, I did the CMD thing and it seems to work! I watched a few movies from different platforms and no screen tearing.
BUT... when I restart the computer it comes back again.

As for the Nvidia control pannel, i put the Triple buffering - on and the Vertical sync on adaptive.

I don't know how to disable hardware acceleration in flash...

It's a windows 7 aero issue with maxwell cards then mate.

I'm going to have a think about a workaround for you - there is no official bonafide solution as far as I can tell part from
1 - not using an nvidia card
2 - upgrading to win 8 or higher.

Which are both beyond drastic.

When I'm home later I'll sort some startup batch files out that 'should' sort the issue.

You will 99.999% likely have to disable uac for these to run automatically from a cold start.

Its possible to keep uac on but makes things 10x more complicated.

It should be shown in there now when you reopen the startup folder - reboot & try.

If you would rather keep uac on then it is still possible to use it this will but it will ask for admin privelege when you logon from a cold boot before it will run it.

its possible to keep uac on & have it run without a prompt on start but means seting it up in task scheduler - I can post you info on that option if youre really bothered?? but it is fairly complicated.

Solution

edited above mate, thats what I consider the simple way without editing folder option to show hidden folder etc.

doesnt matter where you download it to ,the steps above will physically move the file to that folder permanantly (or until you remove/delete it)

Can you reupload file pls?
