Hi, I have lost a full set of icons width from my desktop. alering the
resolution doesn't restore them, i have to manually move the screen with the
monitor buttons to go from one side to the other. is this a video adapter
issue, or has my monitor shot it???

Have you tried to use your's monitor sizing controls to resize the
display, then?

Yes bruce, tried that, it doesn't reduce the screen picture far enough. the
screen keeps flicking from a nomal size to a wider picture.

Assuming the OP (or the OP's dog) didn't accidentally change the monitor settings or video
adapter settings then one or the other may be going bad. If, after readjusting the
monitor, it happens again then definitely one or the other is going bad.
