SD stopped being visible.

I tried to format my microSD(8 gigs) (via Windows), but for some reason it got stuck with the bar full. I decided to wait overnight to see if anything would've changed but nothing did. I forcefully terminated the format but ever since my SD isn't visible at all. I plug it in and nothing happens. Even the Disk Management screen fails to list it.

Did the format completely kill the SD or is there any way to salvage it?

Probably worth noting that the SD is new

Try to format it on a camera or phone, that's all I can suggest that may work.
If even that is no good you'll have to ditch it and buy a new card.
