Question Seagate external hard drive not reading on Usb 3.0

Hi All,
My seagate external hard drive is not reading on usb 3.0 ports but reads on 2.0 ports. I have tried various other computers and laptops. The issue is the same on other devices too.. Ive also tried other external hard drives on the usb 3.0 port and they work. My hard drive doesn't seem to read on 3.0 ports only. any ideas on how to fix this ?

That's often an issue with the cable.
USB3 has more pins in it then USB2 does. it has all the USB2 ones plus 5 more.

I have 2 other hard drives which I use and both of them read on 3.0. I tried those cables too but doest seem to show. The hard drive starts spinning but doesn't show up on disk management or device manager. It only works on 2.0
