Yeah... no.

I reckon in a couple of years the only thing HDDs are going to be around for is long term bulk storage in datacentres. Everything else will be SSDs.

Seen how fast prices are dropping? And the only reason for these over mSATA/NVM is price?

Who is going to buy this? The only advantage of creating something like this is if your creating a new form factor. No system builder will use this because the size is basicly proprietary, and no consumer will buy this because if your upgrading a HD who cares if its 9mm or 5mm. I don't see a market.
