Any 1080p 60Hz monitor with a HDMI port will do. Its best if it has a built in headphone jack on the monitor so that you can output the audio.

Yes, sadly xbox 1 only does 1080p, and at 60Hz max. Which is pretty much any monitor made in the last few years.
A cheap $100-150 is all you'd need.
Now if xbox is doing like ps4 and rereleasing with new hardware, then you'd need something else.

Unless you have the new Xbox which can do 4K. Just video playback (netflix and blurays), dont expect gaming in 4K till the Scorpio coming next year.
