Hello, i would like to buy PSU for new build, it will have RTX graphic card, i am considering RTX 4090 or i will wait for 5080 / 5090 once it come out. What PSU would you reccomand?

MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 for 120€

or

Seasonic Focus GX-1000 ATX 3.0 for 160€

Msi has only 3 years warranty (everywhere i looked its only 3 years now), also it has regular flat cables, Seasonic has 10 years warranty and gold plated braided cables. Also is ATX 3.0 suitable for these cards or should i wait for ATX 3.1? I did not find any ATX 3.1 PSUs in my country so far.

Dont know if its important, but so far i have these components for my next build: CPU: i7-14700KF, MB: MSI PRO Z790-a Wifi, RAM: Corsair Vengance 32GB DDR5-7200mhz, SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB NvME M.2 and Arctic Liquid Freezer III cooler.

Thank you very much.

For RTX 4090, bare minimum 1200W (1.2kW) PSU, while 1600W (1.6kW) PSU is preferred.

Seasonic, pcpp: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/VLWzK8,WrcgXL,64NYcf,jWrqqs/

All those listed (Vertex and PRIME) come with 12 years of warranty. Longest there is. Also, all 4 are ATX 3.0 compatible as well.

Personally, i'd get PRIME TX-1600 ATX 3.0, since it's the flagship of Seasonic.
(Out of 3 PCs and PSUs i have, two of them are already Seasonic PRIME TX units. 3rd PSU i have, is Seasonic Focus PX. Full specs with pics in my sig.)

or i will wait for 5080 / 5090 once it come out.
No telling how much power RTX 50-series uses. You might as well may need 2kW PSU with those.

or should i wait for ATX 3.1?
Do you even know when ATX 3.1 releases? 🤔
