Installed a windows update in 2018, version 1803 and had issues ever since to get another update on my pc as it would never fix itself. Never looked into it but it is getting annoying enough, error code of each update displays 0xc1900101 which is a driver error. In event viewer it shows that the SECDRV.sys file is blocked from loading, had been installed from 2018 in that update and never worked since. Tried almost everything it feels like, sfc doesnt display any problems, hard drive scans cannot be completed to the driver failing, using sc start secdrv in CMD admin displays that the driver is blocked from loading version 4.00.060 which is from the 2003 windows server OS. Tried both reinstalling the same driver, and a newer version so that it would be compatible, the 2008 standard secdrv.sys would run and work, but then fail as soon as I tried the update as the default settings of windows disables it entirely as it updates so no use of having it off and once it restarts it won't let it authenticate the driver and will not bypass it as settings such as;
bcdedit /set nointegritychecks off , bcdedit /set testsigning on , bcdedit /set advancedoptions on , sfc /scannow , deleting antiviruses , disabled defender, changing policies and registries to every extent and nothing seems to work at all. Now I've tried to fix the issue but nothing will do it, I've redownloaded the driver, with disabled driver enforcement signatures so it would bypass the error of not allowing the driver to be run due to it being not authentic. This works momentarily but as soon as it restarts, the issue will continue. Can't even delete the driver as then the updates cannot update without the driver.
Anything else I missed I might have tried, not even sure if this is possible to complete the update at this point, any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Installed a windows update in 2018, version 1803 and had issues ever since to get another update on my pc as it would never fix itself.

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

once you have USB, put it in PC that won't update
open file expllorer
navigate to the usb
run setup.exe
it should offer to upgrade current install

this should put you on 21H1 and might fix all the problems you have.

that driver its running into is old, what game has safedisk attached to it?

Not sure honestly, should have been a game downloaded prior to the update, not sure about now but have had some games such as NFS MW 2005 and NFS Carbon but that was much later than the update otherwise not sure what other game could of caused it, was too long ago.

Its most likely MW - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...w/65d58343-c994-46f0-a008-bb2cd7f96061?auth=1

Could be Carbon as well - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-Need-for-Speed-Games/NFS-Carbon-won-t-start-up/td-p/7985343

You going to have problems as the safedisk copy protection is blocked from running on win 10, so games won't either.
The two games had worked, though not real copies of the game as the discs weren't compatible with windows 10.
Though tried the setup.exe from another pc, all I got was missing dll errors and application would not run as corrupted or cannot be loaded code 0xC1
