Got the following msg after I did my Windows update yesterday:Secure boot violation. The system found unauthorized changes to the firmware,OS or UEFI drivers. Got the computer to boot after disabling secure boot.

I am running Wins 7 64-bit. Just wondering if disabling secure boot will affect my system in any way?

Have you updated your BIOS recently, or do you have some kind of automatic driver updater? It is very rare when secure boot will affect your system in a bad way, but there is no such thing as too safe with your computer.

Nope, did not do any BIOS or driver update. The msg appear right after the win update the next time I turn on my PC.

Wait! Do you have a service pack? Because if you don't, windows 7 RTM (no service pack) support is already gone, any updated you get for a windows 7 system without a service pack are fake!
