I am both a PC gamer and drone pilot. I plan to build a mid-range gaming PC for both gaming and basic drone video and photo editing. I also plan to get a drone that is 4K capable for both aerial videos and photos. I don't plan to do any crazy or Hollywood level editing, just basic video and photo editing, graphics, and animation. Even though the drone will be 4K capable, I plan to go with a dual monitor setup at 1440p using either HDMI or DisplayPort. I plan to go with AMD's 9800X3D CPU, but I am open to suggestions on reliable alternative CPUs. I may get most of the parts for the PC build this upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but I currently plan to hold off on the GPU until Nvidia and AMD release their RTX 50 series and Navi 48/44 GPUs early next year. Depending on prices and specs I am considering the RTX 5060 or 5070 or the Navi 48 or 44. It is also possible that I would consider the RX 7900 XT/XTX if they are still faster and perform better than Navi 48 and 44 and their prices fall at that point. Even though we still don't have complete official confirmation about the upcoming Nvidia and AMD GPUs, based on your experiences with or knowledge of GPUs, do you believe any of these mentioned GPUs would meet my gaming and editing needs?

Thanks in advance.

We can't speak for tech that hasn't been released yet nor should you be moving forward with rumors(speculations). The card Nvidia will launch first will be it's flagship then the one's following that so if we're to go with a Q1 release of RTX5090, then you can assume Q2 for RTX5080 and RTX5070 respectively, while the RX5060 might show up at that same time or thereafter.

If you can wait, I'd advise to do so. If you can't, then make do with what's available now without byer's remorse.

My 2 cents.

Gaming wise with that CPU only GPU limit is price you are willing to pay for GPU.
