Everytime i boot up my computer, it asks me me too choose operating system.

The two options are 'start earlier versin of windows ' and start windows7.

if i move the cursor to start earlier version of windows, it loads normally but if I don't, it automatically goes to windows7 and then just goes to a blank screen.

Any idea how to get the computer to load windows normally without me having to choose which operating system to use?
even i have cheked startup and recovery setting and that is correct
still i am getting that black screen why?
plz help
thanx in advance

Solution
There are two windows listed in your Boot Manager.
If you wan't to remove the faulty windows 7 from the list, you need to:
1. Load the windows that works.
2. Once it loads, in start type "msconfig.exe" without quotes.
3. Click on the "Boot" tab.
4. Make sure that the working windows is set as "default", if it's not, set it as default.
5. Delete the Faulty windows.

If the "earlier version of windows" is actually windows xp, the steps are a bit different, but all you need to do is open the "run" and in there type "msconfig.exe" to get to the same location.
