Already own those 2x 9800 GTX+ ? 'Cause I don't think anyone around here is going to recommend you buy them.

What parts do you already have, and what parts will you be buying?

Yes I already own the video cards, got them from a friend for dirt cheap. Practically everything else is up for grabs. My current PC is about 6 years old with an old AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor, 1.5 gb ram system.

8GB RAM is over the top for a gaming rig IMO. 4GB is plenty.
We like the 500GB single platter HDDs over the 640GB. Samsung Spinpoint F3 or Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ($12 off this weekend).

Case choice is always a personal preference and that one is acceptable.
