Semperon 3000 barton OC,able?

OK this is my last harra with my MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum Socket A,,,,,,will not spend $200 on a Athlon 3000 barton 400 FBS (but Id like to),so can i OC a Sempron 3000 133 FBS Barton core that i bought for $120......I know it's Old School and I need to go to the AMD 939....but for now Im dealin with this one last time....So back to my origanl question......can I OC this cpu?...Tips????....???

I don't know your motherboard, but if it lets you change the FSB from 133 to 200, and if your RAM will work at 200 (PC3200), then lower the multiplier to 10 and see if it will run at 10x200fsb. The performance of Barton core Athlons (and Athon XPs) improves substantially with the higher bus speed. If 10x200 works, try 11x200, and then 12x200 (2.4 GHz). It isn't likely to go higher without a lot of luck and a very good HSF. My Barton runs at 2.4GHz at 50 degrees C on my Abit NF2 motherboard. It runs everything just fine, but I moved on to Athlon 64 because my wife's old computer died so I had an excuse to give her mine and build myself a new one. (By the way, her MSI motherboard was the problem.)
