So here are the facts (you can skip it to the next paragraphs if you don´t bother with the extra info).:
In january I finally made a complete upgrade of my old system and bought a used mobo+cpu+ram. The CPU was a A8 5600k. Some months after the problems started, with continuous blue screens. Manage to find the problem: 2nd ram slot was damaged so I swapped my 2x4gb memory with a friend for his 1x8gb. No more crashes.
In the meantime and not wanting to keep a damaged motherboard, bought another cheap one. Ans bought another 8gb ram module so I could have 16gb dual.
Problem was: motherboard didn´t recognize the extra 8gb, and Windows 10 detected it but only allowed me to use 8gb.
So I sold the used 8gb slot and bpught another equal to the new one...and nothing. Same problem, only half the memory 🙁
Contacted motherboard builders and suprise, they not only answered but also pointed me out what could be the problem: a bended pin on the CPU. Maybe when I swaped the memory I damaged it.
So I bouth a refurbished cpu at the same level ( Athlon x4 760k ) and this time FINALLY I had 16gb.
In the meantime I found that wikia.com pages didn´t load in my pc in any browser. That´s strange because seemed to happen only in my pc.
I know a Windows 10 fresh install is not needed if only the CPU is changed but as I had to clean some leftover files I decided for that...and after that wikia.com loaded without problem.
But yesterday I made a Windows 10 update and guess what? Wikia.com doesn´t load again after.
I downgraded to the previous instalation and wikia.com is loading again.
Why the long story? So you know all the problems I had till this point
But about the wikia.com, if it doesn´t load in your PC, most likely is because Microsoft once again messed it up and those forced updates don´t help. Hope they fix that problem in next updates, is only a website but one I tend to visit quite a lot to read about Warhammer40k lore and if happens with wikia.com who knows what other websites also don´t load? Just image if youtube or facebook didn´t load because of this update? I think it would be panic worldwide 😀
