Serious Help needed

I need some serious help. For then past two days I've been working on my new computer. Everything is moved over into the case, splash screen came up so everything was good. Now as I have everything plugged in (keyboard mouse) its not working. And my DvD drive isn't opening either but I can feel it running! I'm running an Asus Extreme motherboard and I'm getting boot error AE on the digital screen on the mother board. It means that the Legacy Drivers are loaded which I don't have any clue about.... Please help! PS. IM running

"what I'm suggesting is that the hard drive isn't being seen/read?...... if you don't try another HD because you don't have one, try another SATA port. computers, I think< have a certain sequence on start up......... goes from one piece of hardware to the next...... if something is missing it stops.......... I think, right now, that it's the HD. "
