Hello.
I'm currently experiencing a weird and very troublesome issue with my XBOX one controller (wired). Some games, like Sekiro, Monster Hunter World or Tekken 7 just freezes at launch when the controller is plugged (sometimes the game launch, but most of the times the screen just goes blank and I can't kill the process using the Task Manager since the game won't allow the window stay at forefront. So my only option is to reboot the PC through the task bar. Other games like Sekiro just gives me 1 screen flickering, then the screen goes white and an error window appears, allowing me to go back to the desktop. But once one of these games refuse to launch with the controller plugged (or I get a freeze after connecting the controller), my system keeps "corrupted" until I reboot the PC (any of these games won't launch at all, even with the controller unplugged).
If I try to launch any of these games with the controller unplugged, the game launch without issues. But if I try to connect the controller after the game has loaded, there is a 80-90% chance of getting a frozen screen. This doesn't happen with all games, but it seems the controller has a troublesome "relationship" with Steam, and I don't know how to fix this. Since I don't have any other controller, I can't make further tests. I have tried almost everything: a clean installation of Windows, uninstall-reinstall Steam, activate compatibility modes, etc.
I have an i5 8600k, Windows 10 Home, 16GB RAM. All drivers are up to date. I use an AOC c24g1 screen with G-sync compatible activated (yes, I have tried to turn off freesync and the problem persists). I would be extremely thankful if someone could help me with this annoying issue.
