Hello. I am currently developing a website for watching TV series and movies online, and I need a dedicated server(which I will run from home) where all the video files will be stored. Storage will be on hard drives.
The server should be able to stream to maximum of 50 different people/connections at a time(for now).
My internet connectivity is 500Mbps, is that enough for the 50 users target, if we assume video quality will be 1080p, around 8Mbps bitrate ?
What server configuration I need for this kind of video streaming service(is it more RAM or more CPU power)?
Any general guidelines how to proceed with this will be appreciated. Thanks!
