MVP's please check out

These are not even listed. I might have not been clear before. How can I
get these back. Msconfig shows some but, not the ones I want. regedit
services aprt shows them burt, I can't tell how to enable them to show. I am
an admin. What others ervices should I have?

I have a pretty new install of my windows here and for some reason I am
misssig the alerter service and the server and workstation service. How can
I
get these back?

I am loggged in as admin. I also checked the standard and the other tree.
The extended one. It was not listed. I have been getting some registry erros
on every 3/4 bootups recently saying a part of the registry had to be
recovered from a bacup. This might have something to do with it.

Is there any way to fix this? How is this possable? Is there any way to scan
for service curroption. I have already done a cd repair and the emergency
repair. Any ideas?

Hi,

Missing services can be re-created by exporting the REG file from another
working Windows XP unit. BTW, here are other possibilities & solutions for
the missing Server service - from my fellow MVPs Wesley Vogel and Dave
Patrick.

I already got it fixed. I had to delete a non plug and play device from
device manager that was hidden.

IPSEC driver

I did that only because, I noticed the service would not start. After that
and a reboot my services came back.

The odd thing is I don't know the connection. Bur it worked. The strange
thing is a repair/reinstall dind;t from the boot cd.
