Set default graphics card

Hello,
Just got a new computer windows 7 64 bit with Nvidia GTX570.

I switch it on and the first scren shows Nvidia 570GTX then the boot menu then the windows logo then I get a 640x480 windows sreen. I cannot adjust the resolution in the normal way. If I click on the Nvidia logo it says Nvidia driver not detected. I have tried the obvious things like re-installing the driver on the disc that came and also the laest Nvidia downloaded one. Tried setting the display driver in bias to PCIE instead of auto. And yes I have the monitorplugged into the Nvidia andnot the motherboard.

Any advice??

Full specs? Is this a prebuilt computer or home built? New or used?

Prebuilt, i5, P8B75-M lx motherboard (Asus), 8 gb ram. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks

What about the power supply unit?
