I have been gifted a monitor from a friend of mine and I am trying to add it to an existing setup.
The new monitor is an AOC 27B1H that will be using an HDMI connection.
My existing monitor is an Acer R240HY using a DVI (maybe its a VGA but Im pretty sure its DVI).
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40 GHz
I have tried the "Detect" button in windows settings and the "Set Up Multiple Displays" section of the NVIDIA control panel and neither can find the second monitor. I have also updated and reinstalled the Monitor/Display Drives from the device manager in Windows. I am not quite sure what else to do, I have tried every solution I have found from a quick google search and I am not the biggest tech guy at the moment and am trying to learn. The monitor is on the HDMI input.
