Just built a new system.
Asus X870-A
9800X3D
64GB DDR 6000
Carried over my asus strix 3080ti OC for now.
plan has always been to get a 5080 when they are released. However I am facing the reality that it could be no dice on the 5080 and, if so, likely have to pay a premium. Also, my entire system is white and those arent as readily available.
Got me thinking maybe I pick up the asus 4080 super in white and be done with it and get a 5080 in a year or so.... cant find it anywhere unless its way overpriced. Or, perhaps switch completely and get a readily available Asrock 7800XTX for less than $1k.
I am not a hard core gamer.... I do mostly flight sim with some COD or others mixed in.
If I went with the 7800XTX I would achieve a few things: get something soon, get a white card & a nice upgrade over my 3080ti. Downside would be that I wanted an Asus card and losing out on the new power of the 5000 series.
What would you do?
