[SOLVED] Setup a Hatd Drive Via USB

I want to set up a new 2 TB hard drive to replace my current system drive. I want to format it and load Windows 7 SP1 x64 on it while this new drive is connected externally to a USB port. I don’t want to just copy the old partition since there seem to be some glitches on it.

Once it is totally loaded with all my programs, I would then open my PC case and replace my current C:\ drive. I should point out that my case only has two bays and there is already another secondary drive installed.

I formatted the new drive. When I attempted to install Windows on it, I got a message that it couldn’t be done via USB.

Can anyone advise how I can do this? Is there a program recommended?

Unfortunately, no.
The OS (and everything else) needs to be installed on that drive while it is internally connected. And while it is the ONLY drive connected.
