Hi All,

I´m trying to setup, on my brand new pc, a RAID 0. This is the setup that I have:

CPU: I7 5820K
SSD: Samsung 850 evo 250gb (primary disk with OS Windows 10)
HDD: 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB 64MB

My plan was to setup a RAID with the 2 Seagate hdd´s through the BIOS, but if I use the standard I cannot select the hdd´s for the RAID.

After this I started reading the manual an found the following instructions

Enter BIOS -> go to Advance -> SATA configuration and select RAID
Issue is I don´t see SATA configuration.
I can see PHC Storage configuration, after this if I go to SATA controller 1 Mode Selection.
Currently it´s set as AHCI Mode. But I can select RAID....

But as I´m not sure I don´t want to screw things up just using trail and error..

If someone could help me I would be grateful!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

We gotta snicker here a little bit cuz it is kinda like a mirror. If ya can't get the RAID right now, sleep on it for awhile and it will haunt ya and gnaw at ya till ya, like Popeye sez, "Eye Can't stans it til Eye can't stans it no more . . . . . ." and tackle it again and. . . til ya get it. Heh, heh!

Just woke up here and fed the Kitties. 4 AM Los Angeles. Awwwww, didn't like to see that. Leave it alone for a while. When and if ya wanna try again let us know and maybe we can git ya a fresh view. Best of regardless.

Let me know what ya think:).

Read all your post!!!

looks like you don´t give up, like that!!!! You need to tell me how you got the RAID working, I don´t get it what I´m doing wrong!!! As you have an ASUS X99-A/USB3.1 your steps needs to be more or less the same as my.
As I have Asus Sabertooth....

Btw I started looking at how I will overclock my Gigabyte GTX 980ti Gaming... Lol

Thanks for sharing your know how!!!

Give and up have no place being used together, ever. Don't know how to do THAT!!!! I gave up trying:). Take the get it or die trying approach to everything. Am still berating, amazingly enough. Today isn't a good day here to continue, but will help.
Are U in the U.S?
If ya wanna, get me your PH. # and we can talk cuz the forum isn't workin for ya. Google Voice here. Try a different approach. A time to talk too. Ya wanna record same, O.K. Tinkerbell sez, CPUs are one thing, memory, another. Graphics cards, don't O.C. very well. They are too fragile, get waaay too hot and don't really OC very well anyway, usually. MOAR card. We swapped the XFX 280A thing for an Asus Strix OC 380 4GB as this is plenty of card for the X99 guy as we don't game here. Heat is the biggest enemy to electronics but the G.C. vendor guys like ya to do it.
Your call, heh, heh.
Sincerely
Tinkerbell
