Question Setup Upgrade - (from 2011 Vizio tv) - to 144Hz for maximum Rocket League

I beseech thee for knowledge: Currently operating on a homebuild I made 10+ years ago.
-Intel Core i7-2600K
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
and I am trying to get Rocket League to run as deliciously as possible. A mate is sending me an ASUS VG27AQ(?) in the mail.
It doesn't seem like this will get Rocket League at 144Hz at 2k... any ideas on where to beef up first? I'm not above spending a bit $350ish on the gpu - any ideas?

Why not actually see how it runs and then decide what you need? It doesn't take much to run Rocket League.

Yup, try it first. It may do ok at 1440p.

But once you go 1440p it's hard to go back to 1080p. Start saving for a new rig
