Hello, I'm experiencing severe stuttering on my computer when using PCIe Gen 3. The entire system stutters, and games don't even run at all.

I have the latest BIOS version, as well as the latest chipset and GPU drivers.

Any ideas how to fix that?

When I change the PCIe from Gen 3 to Gen 2 in the BIOS, the stuttering stops and the PC works fine.

Specs:
  • Ryzen 7 5800X3D (previously Ryzen 7 2700X)
  • RTX 4070 Super (Galax)
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m DS3H V2
  • Corsair 600W PSU
  • Team Group 16GB DDR4 3666 RAM
  • XPG Gammix S70 Blade M.2 (Windows)
  • Kingston SA400S37/480G SSD

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Corsair 600W PSU
Corsair is the brand of the unit while 600W is the advertised wattage of the unit, what is the model of the unit? How old is the unit in question? What did the unit power(GPU wise) prior to the RTX4070 Super? By any chance is it the green labelled CX unit?

If you flashed the BIOS to the latest version, recently, did you clear the CMOS?
