Question Severely power limited gpu!!

I sometimes laugh at the thought of people using ChatGPT to tell them if something is wrong or right.

First off, are you on on the latest BIOS version for your laptop? Second, you have an 8th Gen Intel platform, you should be able to undervolt both the CPU, the iGPU and the discrete GPU using ThrottleStop and see if that helps with your thermals.

Third, what are you taxing the laptop with? Fourth, is that screenshot off of HWInfo or HWMonitor?

Fifth, this might be worth a read;

Hi so uh yes it is on the latest bios. I have tried everything is grayed out on throttlestop, if you can help regarding that, it would be amazing cause i have been trying for year. I tried many games like days gone, resident evil 7, resident evil 2 and 3 remastered, gta5. The thing is my temps dont even go higher then 70 or 75. I said ok yea its a good thing but maybe its an issue? Drawing less power? Last thing yes its hwinfo. Lemme take a look at what you said!

"older and worse gpu's"....in different laptops, right?

I'm thinking this is either:
1. A software issue.

2. Unreal expectations issue.

"Slower performance" in what, exactly?
Yes in different laptops. The expected performance i should be getting is +20-30fps in certain games but im not. And idk maybe its smth related to software and my expectations are not that high.... In gta5 i get around 30- 40 fps with optimized settings on 720p. But with my gpu and cpu at 720p it should be 60+. Yes ik my gpu sucks but it doesnt suck that bad.. And maybe the temperature is an issue here? Like power limited gpu or whatever.

Its a laptop.

There is not a lot you can do about the available "power".

The 'fix' is to not rely on what the hallucinating AI says.

Where do you hope extra "power" might come from?
My "theory" is that my cpu is power throttled. Its getting enough power by the supply but my bios is only allowing some part of it to go through. And the part going through is lower than what is required
