This item popped up when I started my computer XP home. What is it and how
do I stop the pop up.
Thanks

No hits on google for that term. What exactly pops up? A program? A
document? May want to try "Search" on your system to see what that turns
up. If this is a component of software installed, the search results may
help you to determine what it belongs to. If there is a file of that name,
the properties may uncover more clues as well. Once you know what this is
and what program it is a part of, you can contact their tech support or
search their tech support pages for trouble shooting recommendations.

If no luck, keep in mind that random nonsense names are often a symptom of
virus, worm or trojan infestations. Scan the system with an antivirus
program that is using current virus definitions.

Hi Raymond,

Any pop-up windows/processes with random or unknown names are suspicious. It
may be a trojan or spyware. The first step is to inspect the processes
running (Use the Taskmanager). Next, is to see what applications are loaded
at the startup.

Get the Autoruns utility (as they call "superset of MSConfig") from
www.sysinternals.com and inspect the startup programs. You can save the list
to a log file and post here if you have any doubts. Secondly, run all these
spyware removal tools and scan the system:

Note: Spyware removers are rules-based and are updated very frequently as
and when new malware is discovered. Therefore, update both of these tools
before scanning, very important.
