Shadowplay: Good or Bad?

Hey guys, so I have a 970 and I installed Shadowplay. Seeing as though I am going to get into youtube, I was wondering if it's worth using. I realize that OBS is out there also, however, when I tried using it, the playback was very laggy and there was a lot of stuttering even though in game there was no lag at all. I tried out recording a bit with shadowplay and it seems pretty good. Any opinions or suggestions? I don't want to buy a recording program btw.

You can fine tune any program to work well. I am fairly convinced that even OBS would work well if you were to increase the bitrate to about 2500.

I use shadowplay for all my recordings, I find it great as it allows for decent bit rate, very little fps loss and can support what ever resolution your monitor runs at even up to 4k. The shadow ability is really handy I find as well.
