Shared Folders

Is there any way to remove the Shared documents folders that are listed in
"My Computer". File and print sharing is disabled, but it is still
appearing.

Yes. Two ways I know of.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore

NoSharedDocuments
REG_DWORD
0x00000001 (1)

Or use TweakUI...

[+] My Computer
Uncheck: ? Files stored on this computer

[[Determines which icons you see in My Computer using the My Computer
Category.]]
