shift key disabling

My shift key randomly disables every 30 sec or when i use it a lot. I have to hold both left and right shift key to enable it again and it gets really anoying when i always use it.

anyone know how to fix that?
i tried the stickey key options but they did not fix the problem.

what laptop is it? just in case it helps as it might have a specific fix.

Do you have the latest drivers? http://www.dell.com/support/home/au/en/aubsdt1/product-support/product/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/drivers, see if the Dell update application can help

I see plenty of people with problems relating to Function key, not as many for shift.

Is it both shift keys or just the left one?

it is both my shift keys, it cant enable them either now. its really odd, because my brother has the same computer and does not have the same issue. i tried restoring my computer fully, deleting everything, however the problem is still there.i also installed new drivers, still no luck.

it cant be that the key doesnt work, because it doesnt make sense that both keys stop working same time at the same day.

I wonder, try doing a clean boot - read instructions carefully, don't stop all Microsoft services: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

Wonder if its caused by another program, run the game or whatever and see if it still happens. If it doesn't happen, the cause could be one of the programs that loads at startup,. you would need to slowly re add them to see which it is and maybe then its an option
