My deal is that i want to get that sweet laptop from Dell, but the problem is that they only ship witihn the US, albeit i got offered for a $300 bloody shipping which would take it to my doorstep but that's just bloody nuts!

Then i found these sites like Shipito & ClevverMail and i wanted to ask:

The shipping prices are suspiciously low and i find it hard to believe. Will i have to pay anything else ? Like Tax etc. ?

The laptop i am talking about is the New Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop, the $1.299.99 one! And with the shipping that those sites offer it's like $3-4 extra!

Do i have to pay anything else though ? Or it's an actual lucky find. I'd like someone who has used any of these sites to answer this aswell!

Regards,

E

P.S. I might respond or choose your answer as the best tomorrow (If it's good enough).

you need to pay vat--20% in uk

and customs import duty

honestly you will not save money doing this from usa to uk

have looked into it before as some components can be up to 40% cheaper in the usa compared to the uk

That's not a good price for that laptop.
It costs quite a bit more than $3-4 to ship something overseas.
$20-40 would be more realistic.

I have recently found an even finer version of these kind of sites - Viabox.

The site offers a 0% Sales Tax because the US shipping address is Orgeon where supposedly there aren't any fees (?)
So what's left to pay, other than the shipping fee from Viabox ? Do i need to pay the VAT which in my country is 20%! Does that mean i will have to pay like an extra $200+ ? If so - where ? To the courier when he brings it ?

That sucks so much... I wish there was an easier way to get the stuff from there legally... Unfortunately i don't have any contact within the US so there is really limited options...

Any ideas i would greatly appreciate!

Thank you,

E

sorry but no ideas

its why i cant understand newegg opened a uk and a europe website

yet the stuff still ships from america so isnt cheaper to buy

the only way they will get into the market here is if stuff is stored and shipped from here

I get your joke but it's just way more expensive here than it is there... It'd be great if those sites actually did some magic but you can't get passed paying the extra money i gues...

no you cant

those sites are not aimed at saving money

but at people wanting to buy things they cant get in their own country

but the sites that sell them in the usa for whatever reason dont ship to their country

so these sites let you get around wanting to buy from a usa company that wont ship to your country

And pay extra hundred or two... so hell no! I'll just follow your advice and try to find something here, or wait for the holidays where my luck might come!

If you find the shipping fees too high, try PlanetExpress - they have them much lower than other package forwarding companies - use the calculator on their website to see the price
