shopping for a monitor... how is the Sony CPD-G500

I've started reading around the Internet for information on new hardware, as I'm planning on building a new computer for college this summer. I'm going to start around the beginning of July, so things could change, but I'm coming up with the basics now to get most of the work out of the way.

The monitor I've seen recommended the most and read the most favourable reviews on is the Sony CPD-G500 21" Monitor. It's a Triniton, and I've noticed a couple bad remarks about them here in this forum, but it still sounds like a good deal.

I'm posting to check and see what you guys think. Is this a good monitor? Is it worth the $750? And, since I'm taking this to college, are all 21" monitors going to weigh 70 lbs (because that's a LOT)?

Thanks!

About the only complaints people ever have for Trinitron monitors is the two gray lines at the upper and lower parts of the monitor. They are very thin and only really noticeable on a light colored background. They seem to bother certain people more than others, they don't bother me at all.
But the color is just incredible on them. You can't match the depth of color in a Trinitron monitor. The first time I looked at mine I couldn't believe the difference in color from my previous monitor.

Oh, and I think all 21" monitors are pretty heavy...

I don't know anything about computers... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night...
