[SOLVED] Shopping for an SSD. Need advice.

Hi all,

I'm looking to get an SSD but know little on how to get a decent one.

My system specs are:

Nice rig! So the SSD you already own is a boot drive correct? If you want some more high speed storage for a good price I would reccomend Samsung EVO drives. They are very fast and reliable SATA SSD drives.

Around $100 or lower. 500 GB or more. Preferably 1TB but that seems not likely fro what I have seen on the market. I'm no expert though.

What do you use this for, and what other drives might be in the system?

Crucial's MX500 in SATA 2.5" is $105/$220 for 1 TB/2 TB, respectively....

Intel's 660P in 2 TB used to be reasonably priced as well....

100% for gaming. This is the only drive I currently have:

Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, or you need more actual drive space...there is nothing wrong with the one you already have.

As above, the Crucial MX500 would be a good addition. 1TB for around $100.
