Hey,

I'm i wanted to buy an RX 580, but like 95% of them in my country have been used for crypto mining instead of regular gaming.

should i still go for it? will the performance be as good as a non-mined RX 580?

You will probably have to install the regular BIOS and most cards used for mining would be about burnt out on the memory.

Not something I would buy.

Well, if you know the seller, i would give a try.
Why?
Because Polaris are good video cards.
But as @Zerk2012 said earlier, most of them were used for mining.

So...long story short : you can try a card if you know the seller.
After a few days of tests you can keep the card if it functions properly.

It's all a matter of price and whether you have a good electronics repairman available. If it's not a bad chip, a good repairman will fix everything else. I have bought several of these cards and have never had a problem with any of them. Two years ago, I also bought a broken RTX 3090, MSI's flagship Suprim X. The repairman replaced the faulty memory, I used the card for two years and then sold it at a profit.
However, I'm afraid that the RX 580 could be more expensive to repair than the value of the card, what I wrote is more about higher end cards...
