Hi,
I currently have 16 GBs (8x2) of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz 16CL ram and plan to upgrade to 32 GBs due to the software I'm using.

My question here is, should I just purchase an identical kit (16GB at 3200MHz 16CL) and just plug it in into my pc, or should I get a new 32 GB (perhaps a 16 x 2) kit? Just getting another 16GB kit would be easier and cheaper, but would it be ok?

Also, I currently own a R7 2700X, but in January 2022 I will be getting a R7 5700X or perhaps a R9 5900X. Is this ram type/speed/latency appropriate for these CPUs? I really like Corsair because of my RGB ecosystem, so I would like to keep this brand.

Please recommend me on what to do,
thanks for your time.

or should I get a new 32 GB (perhaps a 16 x 2) kit?
this option less likely to cause unexpected BSOD than trying to match 2 sets together. Even if the 2 sets are same codes doesn't always mean they same memory chips on them. Sets tested to work together. Not with other sets.

its a gamble, it might work or it might be an expensive mistake. Better to just buy the set in the size you want.

3200 is still a good speed for 5800X, though 3600 works as well - https://www.tomshardware.com/features/ryzen-5000-ram-guide

That's exactly the answer I was hoping for,

Thanks for the quick response.
