First my specs:
My thinking is that since Elpis is a gen4 controller running at gen3 speeds, it wont get too hot and that i dont need heatsinks for my 970 evo plus ssds...
What do you think ?
- 2x NVME Samsung 970 evo plus 1tb with the Elpis controller connected to the 2 m.2 slots on the board.
- 1x NVME Samsung 960 evo 250gb attached to a PCIe adapter that has a heatsink.
- 1x SATA Samsung 850 evo 500gb.
- 1x SATA Corsair force 240gb.
- i7-7700k.
- GTX 1080.
- 32gb RAM.
- Gigabyte Z170x gaming 3 board.
- 850w psu.
- Dark rock pro 4 CPU cooler.
- 3x Arctic P12 PWM fans as front intakes.
- 2x Arctic P12 PWM fans as top exhausts.
- 1x Arctic P12 PWM fan as back exhaust.
- ALL FANS(CPU FANS INCLUDED) are connected to an Arctic PWM hub and the hub is connected to the CPU_FAN header on the mb which is PWM.
