Should i buy new 1080p screen ? ( can mu gpu handle it )

1) Is this monitor good ? Or should i buy new 1080 monitor ?

2) can my gpu handle this monitor ?

If the link is to your current monitor, It is already 1080P. Any 1920 x 1080 screen will run the same from a video card standpoint. Some screens may look better than others or be faster, but the load on the video card will be the same at the same resolution.

A GTX 1060 should be fine for many games(while some settings may need tweaking on newer/more demanding games).

No way to tell as we don't know what you are using now or what you intend to use it for. For a gaming box, the only monitor I would look at for 1080p are the Asus VG248QE and the BenQ XL2411Z

it is pointless to go from a 1080p to a different 1080p monitor unless it has a higher refresh rate

or the current screen has ghosting or dead pixels and such


a gtx 1060 is basically made to run at 1080p, and is best at that resolution

If its intended for gaming, theres no point in going from a 1080p to another 1080p, unless you're going for a 120 or 144hz monitor. Personally i switched my old 1080p monitor to a newer Benq monitor also 1080p, but with 144hz refresh rate. It all depends on your needs. If you feel that 1080p is still fine for gaming, go with a 120-144hz 1080p monitor. If you wanna go for a higher resolution, go for a 1440p monitor.

When i read the title .... "Should i buy new 1080p screen ?" ...I assumed that the link was intended to indicate one you were considering. be that as it may, if your are looking for a new "1080 screen" the two I listed remain the recommendation. It's all about what your goals and budget are ....

a) 1080p - I recommend a 144 Hz screen, TN w/ ability to run toasty strobelight for $250. G-Sync comes at $500 but if you gonna spend that much, then I'd go to 1440p.

b) 1440p - I recommend a 165 Hz screen, IPS w/ G-Sync and ULMB for $700. Thge Acer XB271 HU and Asus PQ279Q usally run about that much but there was a run on them building up tot he holidays and prices climbed from $40 - $100 ... wait for stock to refill and they should return to the usual price.
