Hey. So i have a GTX 770 and a i7 2600(non k..overclocking only gives a couple more fps). Point is, im wondering if getting an i7 3770 would make any difference in gaming at 1920 x 1080. Im not sure about upgrading my processor, so is there any point in doing it, and if so should I go for the 3770 or higher? I play all games on max, and want to continue to do so.

Solution
just get a i5-3570k and a good CPU cooler and OC your processor to 4.0Ghz (Or 4.3Ghz if lucky). i7-3770 only make significant difference if it's a K version, and i7-3770k is not so worthy for gaming compared with i5-3570k. The OC plays important in gaming. (That's the point of the K version of Intel CPU)
An i7 is no better than an i5 for gaming, except in a few games like Crysis 3. As such, it isn't really viable.

i5 3570k would be your best bet, although an i7 2600 doesn't really need to be replaced at this moment in time in my opinion.
